Compensation & HR Planning, Mark Mitchell, Director. Responsible for compensation programs and policies for four bargaining units (CTA, FPSU, AESOP, PBA) and five non-bargaining employee groups (Principals, AP's, Staff, Miscellaneous, and Confidential); policies and programs for retirements, leaves of absence, FMLA, and terminal leave pay; processing of employee transactions including transfers, promotions, terminations, new hire compensation, district representation for unemployment claims processing; employee contracts administration, promotion and coordination of analysis of HR best practices for use as input to the overall strategic direction for the Human Resources Division, as well as input for the overall District planning. Employee Relations, Sandra Gero, Director. Works with site administrators to investigate allegations of misconduct by employees and/or employee competency concerns. HR Customer Relations, Melinda Wong, Director. Responsible for Certification Office; Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) standards; Customer Contact Center which serves as first point of contact for employees who have HR questions and concerns; personnel agendas for Board meetings; employment verifications; public records requests; PeopleSoft support for HR functions; records custodian for personnel files; and HR Relationship Human Resources, Darron Davis, Chief. Develops, implements, monitors and assesses a comprehensive human resource development delivery system for instructional and non-instructional, managerial, professional, technical and support employees. Represent the School District before the Florida Legislature, Department of Education, State Board of Education and Florida Congressional Delegation and Congressional Offices. Improve student achievement through communications, which promote parent, family, business and community involvement and support for schools, Board and District. Also, develops and coordinates district-wide Volunteers and Business Partners program. Recruitment & Retention, Pat Kaupe, Director. Administers recruitment of all employees; oversees the preparation of the vacancy listings and the advertisements of the positions available; coordinates the placement of all employees and anticipates the District's future personnel needs.
