- 2004 - School Based Team was mandated at every school
- 2008 - the School District implemented Response to Intervention, which is an approach that promotes a well-integrated system connecting general and special education to provide high quality, standards-based instruction and evidence-based interventions.
These are monitored frequently and matched to students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral strengths and challenges. This process helps make decisions about instruction and goals and examines how the child responds to these interventions. The Florida Continuous Improvement Model (Plan. Do. Check. Act) is utilized in the problem-solving process.
