
What is Career Education?
Career Education in the School District of Palm Beach County is a planned program of career and technical courses and learning experiences that links educators, businesses and the community in preparing all students with the knowledge and skills for lifelong learning and successful careers in a global society. The aim of Career Education is to ensure every student is properly prepared for postsecondary enrollment and/or smooth transition into the workplace.
Why Career Education?
Students participating in Career Education programs in the School District of Palm Beach County will graduate with career training in high wage, high demand occupations as well as a set of strong workplace competencies that today’s workforce demands from it’s employees. Career Education provides a solid foundation to help build futures for students by integrating academic, critical thinking, technical and organizational skills that are relevant to the real world. Students will leave Career Education programs with the proper skills to make informed decisions for a future career.
