The Department of Adult and Community Education

   About Us

  • There are 26 Adult and Community Education school sites in our county. This includes one full-time Adult Education Center and one Virtual Education program.

  • During the 2009-2010 school year, over 25,000 community members participated in our Community Education programs.

    • Our Adult Education program served 9,630 students,

    • Our English Speakers of Other Languages program served 16,328 students,

    • Our Credit Recovery program served 3,515 students, and

    • 1,585 residents earned their GED diploma.
