The Utilities Section of ECS manages all of the District's utilities, including its trash and recycling services.
Below is a set of frequently asked questions and their answers regarding trash and recycling services.

| If the health department does an inspection of my school and finds something wrong with one of the dumpsters, to whom do I report the problem? | Call 561-687-7119 or PX 27119 and let us know SPECIFICALLY which dumpster needs attention. Common problems include broken or missing lids and missing drain plugs. |

| Who do I call if I want to start a recycling program? | If you are a Palm Beach County public school or District facility, call Christina Crespo at PX 27602. If you are a private school or other entity in Palm Beach County, please call the Solid Waste Authority at 561-640-4000. |
Who do I call for bulk trash issues (broken furniture, etc.)? |
Facilities Services Call Center at PX27500. |
| Why do we receive reduced trash and recycling pickups over holidays and during summer break? | When schools are not in full session, their need for trash capacity is reduced, so we save money by lessening the number of trash pickups during unoccupied times. |

Who do I call for missed trash and recycle pickups? |
Call 561-687-7119 or PX 27119 either late in the day on your scheduled pickup day or as early as possible the next morning. |
| Who do I call when my cardboard dumpster doesn't get emptied when it's supposed to? | Call 561-687-7119 or PX 27119. The problem may be that the dumpster is "contaminated" with other materials (e.g., trash) and the hauler will not service the dumpster until those materials are removed. This must be done by your next scheduled pickup day. |
