What is Phase II?
Phase II features a change in design of certain reports to take advantage of IBM Cognos software's updated features and functionality. Users will notice timesaving changes.
What differences are included in Phase II?
- HTML - Many of the Phase II reports in New EDW (EDW for Adminstrators) will now appear more like the EDW for Teacher reports. They will render straight to HTML. In many cases, this increases the speed at which reports initially display. You can easily switch to the old way of rendering by clicking on the Printer Friendly button(s) at the top left of the report.
- Filtering in reports - EDW for Teachers users will notice many more filtering options available to them within the reports. New EDW users will experience accessing all the filtering power and capabilities of the Master Prompt Page within the report itself. You never need to leave the HTML version of the report in order to change the filters that apply.
- Ease of use - We've added features such as auto-select of school or remembering the last school viewed to certain key reports.
- Better integration - We're working to improve integration, continuity and consistency throughout the EDW system. You may notice changes to button descriptions or column names in this effort.
How do I recognize a Phase II report?
If a report has been converted to Phase II, it will be noted in the report description in the New EDW (EDW for Administrators) or EDW for Teacher menus.
