Welcome to the EDW
The Educational Data Warehouse (EDW) team develops data reports for The School District of Palm Beach County's school and district personnel. These reports help measure the progress of each student and school against various federal, state, district and school criteria, such as the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act and Florida's A+ Plan. Using EDW's reports, administrators can assess school performance trends over time, compare schools to each other and analyze the total school’s performance relative to the District as a whole. Teachers are able to access student performances on state and district-mandated assessments. By monitoring school trends and student achievement, opportunities for improvement can be identified and timely changes can be implemented to ensure that our students receive the best possible education.
Data reports are available, which list every student's demographic data, test scores, academic performance ratings and grades. Teachers may input individual student Elementary Literacy Assessment and Palm Beach Writes results into EDW for Teachers. In New EDW and EDW for Teachers are the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test Sunshine State Standards (FCAT SSS), Diagnostics, Scholastic Reading Inventory (SRI) and the Elementary Literacy System tests results. These data reports are accessible to authorized users via New EDW and to teachers via EDW for Teachers.
Users are accessing EDW as a tool to identify improvement strategies for student achievement, classroom instruction and school performance. With the increasing need for timely and relevant information, more stakeholders are requesting EDW Awareness/Navigation professional development sessions than ever before.
