Title I Charter Schools

Becoming a Title I School

To be eligible for Title I funding, Charter schools must meet the same poverty percent cut-off as traditional schools.  For this school year, the percent cut-off is 59.5% for students ages 5-17 years old. Schools participating in a State-approved lunch program may use the percent of students eligible free/reduce priced lunches on Date Certain (December 20, 2013).  Charters schools not participating in a State-approved lunch program are to use the District-approved income verifications provided to schools by the Department of Federal and State Programs.  For additional information regarding this procedures, please contact
Amy Barningham, Title I Manager, at PX 48967 or 561-434-8967.
