Educational Plant Survey

The purpose of the Educational Plant Survey is to aid in formulating recommendations for housing the educational activities of the students and staff of the School District for the next several years. It is a needs assessment which compares what exists at a facility as listed on the Florida Inventory of School Houses (FISH) to what an educational or ancillary plant is eligible to have based on the latest Board approved Facilities Lists.
The survey report must describe the current educational plants of the district and the estimated capital outlay needs through a five-year period. The recommendations made in the survey must result from a systematic study of present educational and ancillary plants and the determination of future needs, including long range planning, to provide an appropriate educational program and services for each student based on projected COFTE (Capital Outlay Full Time Equivalence) approved or authorized for use by the Department of Education.
