Five-Year Plan & Capital Budget Long Range District Facilities Planning: 10 & 20 Years
Twenty-Year Plan (Years 11-20) The School District Facilities Work Program is mandated by Florida Statute 1013.35, which requires each district to complete a Five Year Work Plan. The statute states: "Annually, prior to the adoption of the district school budget, each district school board shall prepare a tentative district educational facilities plan that includes long-range planning for facilities needs over 5-year, 10-year, and 20-year periods." The preparation of this plan is intended to be a useful and meaningful document for planning, preparing, and prioritizing the current and 5-year capital outlay needs of the district. As such, the 10 and 20-year Long Range Plan was added by the Florida Legislature in the 2001-2002 fiscal year. |
