SEEC
Palm Beach County is home to many public and private organizations that are committed to environmental education, awareness, innovation and sustainability.
To ensure that the collective efforts of these entities are leveraged; a Consortium was created on June 1, 2010.
Vision:
To make a difference by cultivating life-long values and behaviors toward the natural environment through environmental education, leadership and collaboration to achieve a sustainable society.
Mission:
SEEC seeks to...
Foster networking which will aid in:
| • | Coordinating environmental and sustainability education efforts |
| • | Identifying and leveraging resources |
| • | Avoiding duplication of efforts |
| • | Obtaining grants and venture capital |
| • | Pursuing public and private partnership opportunities |
| • | Reaching all ages and demographics |
Use pooled knowledge of Consortium for:
| • | Improving the quality of Environmental Education |
| • | Cultivating Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) exposure at an early age |
| • | Writing better grants |
| • | Utilizing professional connections |
| • | Developing new leads |
The June meeting has been cancelled to accommodate the summer break and members' schedules.
We expect that future meetings will be scheduled on an "as needed" basis; so please notify the facilitator if you have collaborative business to bring to the group.
