The Department facilitates the Five-Year Capital Plan in coordination with 20 departments and four advisory boards. |

For new construction, the department works with local governments on collaborative planning, land acquisition and other real estate services. |

Provides planning assistance to school centers on items such as traffic controls, on-site improvements, and real estate property related issues. |

| Support, training and oversight of School Facilities Leasing Program to help schools raise funds for their programs. | |
| Pursues grants for safe routes to schools, recreation, environmental and sustainability initiatives. | |

Assists school centers with entering into Inter-local agreements for items such as shared recreational facilities and mutual use. |

Works to ensure development does not out-pace school construction via "School Concurrency" review. |

The department provides GIS Analysis & maps for multi-department and school center use. |

Maintains all real estate records (including original deeds, title policies and leases) for the District, the largest land owner in the county. Coordinates Survey, Environmental, Feasibility and Appraisal studies. |

Provides enrollment projections, serves as liaison to the Advisory Boundary Committee and assists school center staff with boundary questions; and offers "Find My School" tool. |
