- New Elementary Schools take approximately 360 continuous days.
- New Middle Schools take approximately 540 continuous days.
- New High Schools take approximately 720 continuous days.
QUES: What is the standard student capacity of new school?
ANSWER:
Average student capacity of a new Elementary school is 960
Average student capacity of a new Middle school is 1300
Average student capacity of a new High school is 2500
Frequently Used Definitions
"Capacity = Students"
Number of students that may be housed in a facility at any given time.
"FISH Capacity"
The number of students that can be housed at a school using utilization factors from the State Requirements of Educational Facilities (SREF).
"Core Capacity"
Media, Dinning and Administrative areas. Sized to accommodate current enrollment or to accommodate future growth.
"Program Capacity"
The number of students that can be housed at specific school given the programs at that school and the actual uses of the instructional spaces in that school. It differs from the State FISH in Two ways: 1) the class size factors and utilization levels are lower, and 2) all the District's special and supplemental programs are recognized as legitimate classroom uses.
