Summer VPK 2012 |

Who: Children who turned 4-years-old by September 1, 2011, (born 9/2/2006 to 9/1/2007), who did not use a a VPK Certificate during the 2011-2012 school year. What: Summer VPK classes are funded by the State of Florida and are typically offered 8 hours daily, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, for 40 days during the summer. Quality VPK classes prepare children for success in school and later life. When: Summer VPK will begin during the first week of each summer vacation. Registration will begin in February, after Family Central begins issuing VPK Certificates of Eligibility. Final start and ending dates will be announced along with hours of operation. How (Enrollment): Step 1:Obtain a VPK Certificate of Eligibility
Step 2:Go to the School District to Register Registrations will be taken at the School District of Palm Beach County Headquarters, Department of Early Childhood Education, 3300 Forest Hill Boulevard, Suite C-143, West Palm Beach; Thursdays, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., beginning in February. Registration at the school site(s) will begin after Spring Break. Cost: Summer VPK hours are free to parents whose children have valid VPK Certificates that were not used during the school year. A minimum of 300 instructional hours will be provided. |
