EDUCATIONAL ENHANCEMENT GROUPS (EEG)
Educational Enhancement Groups are prosocial skill development groups for elementary schools students conducted by School Counselors. Two curricula are available: one for students in Kindergarten to 2nd grade and one for students in grades 3-5. The groups are evidence-based and within the Response to Intervention (RtI) framework could be considered a Tier II intervention.
Group topics include:
- Building Community
- Feelings
- Making Choices
- Goal Setting
- Communication Skills
- Problem Solving
- Friendships and Peer Pressure
Training and free materials are provided by the Prevention Center in the Department of Safe Schools. Eighteen (18) in-service points are available.
To register, go to Course Registration
Log in. Click on Safe Schools on the left of your screen. Then, click on the “Educational Enhancement Groups.” Finally, click on “Enroll in this Training.”
