Karen Adducci Purchasing Agent karen.adducci@palmbeachschools.org Phone: 434-8308 or PX 48308 Bid 10C-54B Effective May 3, 2010 through May 2, 2015 Schools wishing to purchase playground equipment, outdoor fitness equipment, fitness trails or fabric shade structures, regardless of the funding source, must first contact their facilities management coordinator. The facilities management coordinator will contact all awarded vendors to schedule a site inspection and request proposals.
The facilities management coordinator will process a requisition or the school will process a PeopleSoft requisition if utilizing Internal Accounts. The facilities management coordinator will forward all necessary documents (5 sets) to Risk Management for approval regarding safety and ADA compliance. Fabric shade structures may require permits. After approval by Risk Management, the approved packages will be forwarded to the Purchasing Agent and the purchase order(s) will be processed. Copies of the approved package will be mailed to the vendor(s) and facilities management coordinator and a copy will be retained in purchasing. The vendor will schedule deliveries, installation and final inspections with the facilities management coordinator. Risk Management will send the school principal a letter when the playground has passed final inspection and is released for use.
