The EPO Option (Catastrophic HMO) is the only medical plan option for newly hired or rehired employees. Enrollment into a different plan type is limited to the annual enrollment period after a minimum of 12 months of continuous active employment.

Employees who fail to make a plan election will be enrolled into this plan with Employee Only coverage.

Flexible Spending Accounts provide a tax-favored means for you to stretch your health care and dependent child/elder care dollars.

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) features:

  • IRS approved reimbursement of eligible expenses tax-free
  • pre-tax deposits are made each pay period
  • savings on income and Social Security taxes
  • pay for anticipated expenses with your FSA funds

You may only be reimbursed for expenses incurred while you are actively enrolled and making contributions.  Also, be conservative when you estimate your annual contribution amount.  IRS regulations state that any unused funds cannot be returned to you or carried forward to the next plan year.  To read more about Flexible Spending Accounts, click below.

NEW ONLINE FSA CLAIMS SUBMISSION:

FBMC is pleased to announce online FSA claims submission through www.myFBMC.com. This process allows FSA participants the opportunity to submit, via the Web, a scanned image of a completed claim form along with scans of supporting documentation.

Submitting claims online gets reimbursement requests to FBMC faster than traditional mail, thus expediting the release of reimbursement funds back to participants. Further details and instructions are available here.
