Mission Statement
The School District of Palm Beach County’s Middle School Afterschool Program with the support of Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and other local community organizations, provides afterschool participants a safe environment from 3:00 - 6:00 P. M.
Thirty-six schools currently provide afterschool programs for middle school students. The Middle School Afterschool Program provides opportunities for personal enrichment and academic improvement through recreational activities, homework assistance and tutoring, as well as social skills development (including conflict resolution and team building). Through “meaningful participation” in afterschool activities, students develop positive relationships with adults, enhance their affiliation to school, and develop skills for life long learning.
