District Accreditation
Renewal Process
The School District of Palm Beach County will complete the first District Accreditation five-year cycle in FY2012-2013. Preparations are being made to host the Quality Assurance Review Team in 2013.
Training
The Department of EDW, Accountability, and School Improvement is arranging for AdvancED (SACS CASI) to provide Quality Assurance Reviews in 2012-2013 and Beyond Accreditation for the 21st Century training to our School District. Schools will be notified once this training becomes available.
The training will cover the New Standards for Quality and the AdvancEd ASSIST accreditation system for submitting documentation for the District Accreditation, Quality Assurance Review.
Demographic Update
Directions for updating the school's demographic information on the AdvancED website will be emailed to principals individually along with their personal access code on January 13, 2012. The update should be completed by January 27, 2012.
Steering Committee
A Steering Committee has been created to facilitate the preparation requirements and time-lines for the completion of the Self Assessment Report and external review as we prepare for our accreditation renewal.
DIFFERENTIATED ACCOUNTABILITY SCHOOLS
Mid-Year Data Reports Available in January
The 2011-2012 Mid-Year Data Reporting template will be available on the Bureau of School Improvement website in January. Schools will need to login to their School Improvement Plan (SIP) in order to access the Mid-Year Data form. The SIP can be accessed at http://www.flbsi.org/SIP.
Mid-Year Data Reports are due January 20, 2012 for Elementary Schools and February 17, 2012 for Secondary Schools. Update and attach modified DA Checklist of Compliance to the SIP by the same deadlines.
Mid-Year NARRATIVE Reports are due February 3, 2012 for Elementary Schools and February 24, 2012 for Secondary Schools.
Reporting Category Requirement For Baseline Data Report Will Be Provided to FDOE by Educational Data Warehouse
LESS WORK REQUIRED FOR SCHOOLS-
Confirmation was received from the Florida Department of Education (FDOE) on September 30, 2011 that the FDOE will accept the District's submission of the New EDW Diagnostic Diamond Report - RTODA0173 for all tested grades and subjects in lieu of requiring each school to complete the Reporting Category sections of the Baseline Data Report. The EDW Specialists are compiling copies of the New EDW Diagnostic Diamond Report - RTODA0173 for District submission to the FDOE.
Schools will use the School Improvement Planning - Differentiated Accountability - RXOOA0197 EDW report to complete the remaining sections of the Baseline Data Report. The pathway to the report in New EDW is:
