District Professional Development Support
The Department of Professional Development's Professional Development Team provides high quality professional learning leadership that supports increased achievement for all students. The District Professional Development Team is responsible for overseeing the planning, learning, implementing, and evaluating of components. Support includes:
- Ensuring that the procedures for providing professional learning are congruent with the NSDC Standards for professional learning, the Florida Protocol Standards and Florida Statute 1012.98
- Advertising a professional learning training schedule that lists all district-wide offerings
- Ongoing coaching and support provided to school and district-based Professional Learning Facilitators
- Guiding District employees on the attainment of inservice points
- Facilitating communication between schools, district, and the community regarding high quality professional learning
- Maintaining the District Professional Development Team's Website
- Developing, revising, and maintaining the Master Inservice Plan for the District
- Ensuring that accurate records are kept for district personnel relative to inservice point accumulation in accordance with state standards and ethical guidelines
