New EducatorsThe Educator Support Program (ESP) is the School District of Palm Beach County's formal program of support for newly hired educators. Systems of support include a support team, staff development opportunities, observations, conferences, and written and oral feedback. ESP, the program of support and induction for first year teachers, is designed to elicit evidence that a beginning teacher has demonstrated teaching competencies that promote student learning. The ESP helps ensure that all beginning teachers have opportunities to strengthen their knowledge of instructional strategies, enhance their understanding of students as learners, and begin a process of lifelong learning and professional growth.
