The 2015 Palm Beach Regional Science and Engineering Fair awards were given out on Thursday, January 08, 2016. The awards ceremony was graciously hosted by Santaluces High School. Over 750 attendees including parents, coordinators, and other invited guests filled the auditorium to watch over 250 students in Palm Beach County schools receive awards from 4th to 1st as well as special awards from various sponsors and community partners.
The selection of the top 40 out of over 600 students across all categories in middle and high school was very difficult! These 40 students have been invited to attend Florida’s 61st Annual State Science and Engineering Fair (SSEF). Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast, in conjunction with the Stiles-Nicholson Foundation, is graciously awarding each SSEF invitee with a cash award of at least $200.00, up to $550.00.

Black history month actually began as black history week. It was actually started in 1926 by Carter Woodson and the goal was to educate Americans about notable African Americans and their achievements.
Black History Week actually became a nationally recognized month in 1976 and is celebrated in February. During this time all Americans are invited to learn about African American inventors, scientists, athletes, entertainers and the rich history of the African American culture.
