Fine Arts Academy

  • The Fine Arts Academy at Wellington High School provides dedicated and motivated student artists the opportunity to study their art form(s) by taking a minimum of eight Fine Arts courses over four years, including a minimum of five courses within their selected area of focus.

    Students will complete a rigorous study of their artistic discipline, including dance, music (vocal and/or instrumental), theater, and the visual arts.

    This Academy requires extensive after-school and evening mandatory meetings, rehearsals, and performances. Placement into the Fine Arts Academy is determined through the Choice Lottery. Selection of an area of focus will be made at the conclusion of 9th Grade, in consultation with Academy faculty.

    All students applying for this program must meet the following eligibility criteria: 2.5 GPA
