    Description: Join us for our weekly open Art Studio taught by a professional master artist who will guide you to develop or improve your existing skills and knowledge in two-dimensional (2D) art: pencil and charcoal drawing, color pencils, watercolor, acrylics, oil painting, mixed media collage, and assemblage. All levels are welcome, from beginners to advanced artists. The instructor will suggest supply materials on the first day of class. For those who are interested in three-dimensional (3D) art, there will be another weekly class on Tuesday evening for sculpting and pottery.

Please bring two skeins 100% cotton yarn for first project and size H-8 through size J hooks, large eyed needle, small scissors and your excitement and enthusiasm to create one of a kind projects using the art of crochet. Additional supplies needed as class progresses.

    Description:  We do a variety of paintings. You can bring your own ideas or do what I bring. Bring what supplies you have and we will work with them. I use 8x10 canvas mostly because they are easier to carry to class and to store. You will need a container for water, paper towels, sea sponge, and a kitchen sponge. If you don't have paints and brushes, I suggest folk art paint (because it covers well and is easy to work with). Plaid has a package of 10 brushes that covers most of the brushes you will need. (Walmart $5.) You can come to the first class with your brushes (I will show you the brushes I use the most) and then get them after that class.

    Description: Catherine brings her joy of clay to the classroom. Not sure what hand-building pottery is? Well you don't need much experience to enjoy it, the class is a go at your own pace and be creative. She will give you guidance from a lump of clay the first day to a finished bowl or whatever your imagination can come up with by the last day. You will get the guidance you need to become confident in hand-building pottery that is only limited to your imagination. Note: If you have some or lots of experience, this class is a great place to work semi-independently in a clay community environment studio.
