Dress Code
-
Following School Board Policy 5.182 at Pierce Hammock Elementary, it is our goal that all students comply with our school uniform dress code. We work each day to encourage students to be successful at their job oflearning; we ask that you do the same by supporting our school dress code (school uniform). Research shows that school uniforms have a positive impact on student learning and behavior in and around the school. Our school dress code serves to unite students, increase school pride, and eliminate class barriers. We will provide uniforms for students in need when we are made aware of these situations.
Please read the below dress code to ensure that your child complies.Shirts

PLEASE LABEL ALL CLOTHING, LUNCH BOXES, & WATER BOTTLES!!! Young children seem to misplace their items frequently. You may want to use name tape or adhesive tape lettered with indelible ink or permanent marker where applicable. This helps in identifying who the item belongs to when it is misplaced. Exceptions may be made for special class/grade programs or field trips. Teachers will send home a notice when this is the case.
As accidents sometimes happen, students in Grades K-1 are encouraged to have an additional pair of dress code clothes kept in their backpack or area in the classroom. Individual teachers in K-1 have their procedures for these spare clothes to be kept.
