CONTINUATION OF 1.0 MILL APPROVED BY VOTERS IN 2018

This continued referendum will be on the November 8, 2022 ballot to be approved by voters.
Referendum proceeds will continue to be overseen by an Independent Referendum Oversight Committee (IROC) of citizens and experts to ensure all proceeds are expended for the specific purposes in the referendum approved by the voters.

REFERENDUM TO CONTINUE AD VALOREM LEVY FOR
SCHOOL SAFETY, TEACHERS, AND OPERATIONAL NEEDS

Shall the Palm Beach County School Board have continued authority to levy 1.00 mills of ad valorem millage for operational needs of public schools dedicated to funding school safety; school police; mental health services; arts, music, physical education, career and choice program teachers; and improved teacher pay beginning July 1, 2023 and automatically ending June 30, 2027, with oversight of all funds by an independent committee of citizens and expert

Continue to fund mental health professionals, school counselors, social workers and psychologists, to support the social and emotional well-being of students.

  IMPROVE TEACHER PAY

Provide all experienced effective and highly effective teachers with a retention supplement based upon their years of experience.

  ENHANCE SCHOOL SAFETY

Enhance school security and technology resources.

  KEEP ARTS & MUSIC EDUCATION

Continue to fund more than 750 Art, Music, PE, Health, Choice and Career education teachers. Ensure there are no cuts made to existing teaching staff levels.
