More Than 100 High School Students Earn Associate Degree and Diploma

In the 2025-2026 school year, 144 students from high schools in the School District of Palm Beach County have two reasons to celebrate at graduation.

They earned their associate degree alongside their high school diploma. The following schools had the highest student dual degree earners: 21 from Seminole Ridge Community High School in Westlake, 17 from Wellington Community High School, and 12 from John I. Leonard High School in Greenacres.

This year’s class marked a 9% increase over the number of students who earned their associate degree in 2025 through dual enrollment, which provides an opportunity for students to simultaneously earn high school and college credit. As a result, students graduate with their high school diploma as well as an associate degree. Students can also earn credit toward a career certificate or a baccalaureate degree.

Per Florida statute, there are no tuition, registration, laboratory fees, or textbook costs to students participating in the Dual Enrollment Program. Dual Enrollment credit can be earned at Palm Beach State College, Florida Atlantic University, or any other public institution of higher learning that has an established Dual Enrollment Articulation Agreement with the School District of Palm Beach County.
