Schools to Serve as Polling Sites on Primary Election Day

Tuesday, August 18, 2026 is Primary Election Day in Palm Beach County. In addition to other polling sites throughout the County, nearly 100 District-operated campuses will serve as polling places on that day, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 

The School District of Palm Beach County is proud to support democracy in action and model civic engagement for students. Schools are committed to maintaining campus safety protocols while simultaneously fulfilling state statutory requirements of public schools. 

To ensure a secure learning environment, voters will be restricted to a designated polling area with a separate, secured entrance and will not have access to any other part of school campuses or student areas. All exterior building doors will remain locked. 

Every District-operated school has an assigned Palm Beach School Police officer on campus. The School Police Department will be monitoring each campus to ensure school safety. Regular school functions will not be affected or interrupted by polling activities.
