Citrus Cove Elementary School’s Summer Camp Program was one of two winners of Prime Time’s 2016 NSLD Literacy Art Contest. The school received donated kits including recycled art supplies from Resource Depot and books from the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County and were asked to make art posters re-creating scenes from the books. The photos were shared on social media to promote the importance of summer learning. National Summer Learning Day is an advocacy day led by the National Summer Learning Association to highlight the importance of keeping kids learning, safe and healthy every summer. Congratulations to Citrus Cove Summer Camp for promoting literacy throughout the summer! More information on Prime Time’s contest can be found here.
