Following a months-long search, the School District of Palm Beach County has selected Teresa Michael as its Inspector General. She will replace Lung Chiu, who is retiring this year.

A number of respected scholars are set to gather with the public for the annual African, African American and Caribbean Studies Summer Institute from June 15-17.

Twenty four graduating seniors from Palm Beach County Schools have been honored as College-Sponsored National Merit Scholarship winners.

Summer session is set to begin on Monday, June 8, and lessons will be available on the School District’s Education Network (TEN). Programming will air on Comcast channel 234, and AT&T U-verse channel 99.

Nearly 160,000 people across 30 countries watched the virtual graduations of almost 14,000 Palm Beach County School District students. The 32 separate and unique commencement ceremonies were broadcast on the School District’s YouTube channel, as well as on The Education Network.

For the eighth year in a row, the Office of African, African American, Latino, Holocaust, and Gender studies will host its annual Hispanic/Latino Studies Summer Institute on June 10 and 11.
