Greeting Card Winners

For the sixth year in a row, student artists were encouraged to enter the Superintendent’s Holiday Greeting Card contest, seizing the opportunity to showcase their talent and creativity.

Under the guidance and support of their art teachers, numerous entries were submitted by students throughout the School District. Three winners emerged, one student each from the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

Superintendent Mike Burke had a tough job choosing from all of the stellar entries. Ultimately, the students listed below were selected by Mr. Burke as the winners for their exceptional greeting card designs. Congratulations to each student and their teachers!

• Janessa Diaz – 5th grade, Hope Centennial Elementary School
Art Teacher: Gina Carr

• Genevieve Morel – 8th grade, Watson B. Duncan Middle School
Art Teacher: Jana Julius

• Isabella Echevarria – 11th grade, Spanish River Community High School
Art Teacher: Ann Saakian

The purpose of the contest is to tap into the spirit of the holidays to allow District students to use their imaginations and display their artistic abilities. Clearly, there are many talented students in the School District of Palm Beach County, and this contest is a wonderful demonstration of their artistry and originality.

In addition to being displayed on posters in the District’s headquarters and featured on the District website, the winning cards will be sent to board members, principals, and community partners. Each winner and their teacher will also receive a printed set of their winning cards.
