The Education Foundation of Palm Beach County’s signature program, Red Apple Supplies, has distributed more than $1 million in free school supplies to Title I schools throughout the School District of Palm Beach County since the start of the 2021-2022 school year.

Thanks to the generosity of several businesses and community partners, the Education Foundation has provided school supplies and classroom resources free of charge to teachers and students in more than 67 high-needs Title I schools:

• 1,277 teachers have shopped for free supplies.

• More than 50,000 students served.

• $1,029,150 in free supplies distributed including:

◦ 28,008 disinfectant wipes
◦ 25,073 bottles of hand sanitizer
◦ 13,507 pocket folders
◦ 7,515 backpacks
◦ 6,097 composition notebooks

"It's the Foundation's goal that one day soon, no teacher in Palm Beach County will ever have to dip into their own pocket to purchase school supplies for their students,” said James Gavrilos, President and CEO of the Education Foundation. “School supplies, technology items, and even hygiene and cleaning supplies will flow through our facility into the hands of our teachers and through them to our students. Every school, every student, no one left behind. The playing field level for every child in our community.”

The mission of the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County is to serve the needs of the students, teachers, and schools in the 10th largest district in the nation. Donate or volunteer so that no teacher has to dip into their own pocket to pay for school supplies and every student has access to the tools they need to succeed.
