Purpose and Functions

Educational Technology provides schools with a technology-rich teaching and learning environment. We serve students, teachers, and administrators by ensuring efficacy and ease of use for technology-based instructional applications and tools.

Educational Technology supports and coordinates integrations of several key digital curriculum products. Programs and applications we oversee include the SMART Learning Suite, Google Workspace including Google Classroom, Technology Conference, i-Ready, Khan Academy with Khanmigo, BrainPop, TypingClub, Blender, Clever, online textbooks, GoGuardian, eSports, Adobe Creative Suite, middle school grade/course recovery through Edgenuity, and the Google Certified Educator program.

Educational Technology also supports the interactive classroom and school-based audiovisual hardware, including Audio Enhancement, SMART panels, document cameras, EPIC intercoms, projectors, and digital signage. Guidance and design are also provided for new building construction and remodels.

In addition, the team trains extensively on supported programs, produces online and in-person training materials, and offers support and guidance to teachers and school leaders on the effective use of technology based on the ISTE standards.
