Exploring Leadership Academy (ExLA)

Program Details

The Exploring Leadership Academy (ExLA) is designed to provide support for those who desire to serve in the role of a Leader (Teacher-Leader and School Administrator) in Palm Beach County School District. Capitalizing on our school district’s goals, this program is designed to provide aspiring leaders with complex, relevant, and personalized learning opportunities to help prepare them to lead in our District schools. 

The target audience for the Exploring Leadership Academy (ExLA)

• Classroom teacher/school leader with at least one year of teaching experience and has successfully completed Educator Support Program (ESP) as well as holds professional certification.
• Classroom teacher/school leader with intent to pursue a Teacher-Leader Pathway:
  • Instructional Coach (math, reading, science, etc.)
  • Single School Culture Coordinator (SSCC)
  • Instructional Specialist (reading, math, ESE, ELL, etc.)
• Classroom teacher/school leader with intent to pursue a School Administrator Pathway:
  • Assistant Principal
  • Principal

Virtual Informational Sessions: August 4-6, 2026 at 5pm (FY27 Presentation Link)

Application window: September 8-18, 2026
