Purpose and Functions
School Transformation provides oversight and coordination for educational functions and program management for the Academic Division. The department actively communicates with other departments, regional offices, and schools to ensure collaboration and coordination of Transformation and Turnaround activities including the timely delivery of quality services within established guidelines.
The department coordinates and carries out the monitoring and review of school data to achieve assurance of the Differentiated Accountability requirements. The department also provides oversight for the District’s Federal Programs Department, the Compliance and Special Projects Director, the Safe Schools and Grant Administration Department, monitoring for organizational efficiency and relationship/support to the Strategic Plan and its initiatives.
The department generates and completes special projects related to District issues as deemed appropriate by the Deputy Superintendent/Chief of Schools.
