[Video]: Suncoast HS Hosts ‘Virtual’ Honor Flight to Recognize Those Who Have Served

Students at Suncoast Community High School honored nearly 50 World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War veterans who were not physically able to make a trip to Washington D.C. with the virtual trip of a lifetime.

The students, with the help of their advisor, Mr. Traill, organized a Virtual Honor Flight including a luncheon, video of the monuments in Washington D.C. dedicated to them and a welcome home celebration with community members waving flags and cheering on the heroes.

The day was full of cheers, smiles and some tears at the veterans reflected on their time in combat and that these young men and women spent their time to make sure they knew how much their dedication to the country is appreciated.
