Twelve Students Honored at State Science Fair, Three Headed to International Fair
Three students from the School District of Palm Beach County have qualified to compete in the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) for their share of more than $5 million in prizes and scholarships.
Ray Jai, from A.W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts, Kaylee Cunningham from Olympic Heights High School, and Rishu Mohanka from Suncoast High School will participate in the fair, being held in Pittsburgh next month.
Thanks to the generosity of Junior Achievement of the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast and the Stiles-Nicholson Foundation, the students will participate in Intel ISEF at no cost to their families.
The three were among 19 students who represented the District in the Florida State Science & Engineering Fair Lakeland last month. After presenting their original science and engineering projects to doctoral-level researchers in their field, 12 of the students were recognized for their outstanding work with special awards, place awards, and scholarship nominations.
