School’s out for the summer, but students are still hungry, and the School District’s School Food Service Department is offering free meals for all children in Palm Beach County.
Schools across the District will be serving free, nutritionally-balanced breakfasts and lunches to children through the age of 18 at school locations across the county.
Plus, in order to keep bellies full and learning continuing through the summer, several Palm Beach County Library locations will be serving free lunches and snacks daily as well.
Summer Food Service sites are located at schools in the immediate vicinity of areas of need where 50 percent or more of the children qualify for free and reduced-price meals during the school year and to those students enrolled in summer school or camps. Lunches and afternoon snacks will be available through the following county library branches:
Last year, more than 750,000 meals were served through this free program. No application is required to receive the meals. To find a site, the dates and times the meals are available and menus, click here.
