At Canon’s Future Authors Summer Writing Workshop, students are given the opportunity to participate in a unique summer experience. Fifty students attended the workshop at Glades Central High School, and each of them will be have their work published in a book.
Students get the chance to write freely in this creative and open-minded space alongside their friends and mentors. The workshop focuses on the students’ growth as writers, without having the limitations of grades and prompts. Students write poetry, biographies, short stories, articles, and more throughout this free two week summer workshop that includes presentations from inspiring guest speakers and Canon Solutions America experts.
In addition to Glades Central High School, this workshop was also offered at Don Estridge High Tech Middle School. Learn more about this summer workshop and what makes it possible each year in the video below.
