As part of National Bullying Prevention Month, students and staff across the District are being challenged to be kind to others. That’s why the week of October 8 is being called “Challenge Kindness Week.”
Acts of kindness don’t have to be elaborate; the goal is to ensure that everyone feels appreciated and included. Through the “Only One You” Project, Benoist Farms Elementary School in West Palm Beach celebrated students’ individuality.
“Only One You” is the title of an inspirational children’s book about Adri, a little fish who is about to go explore the ocean on his own. The book stresses how everyone is unique, and that each of us have something to contribute to the world. The book’s inspiring message is that “there’s only one you in this great big world. Make it a better place.”
