Nominations for the 2019 William T. Dwyer Awards for Excellence in Education are now being accepted. The Economic Council of Palm Beach County, Inc., which sponsors the event, is encouraging schools to start the nomination process now.
The Dwyer Awards have honored more than 200 outstanding educators over the past 34 years in the categories of elementary, middle, high and career education, as well as special support programs and STEM education.
The honorees are nominated by their fellow teachers. Principals are encouraged to designate only one liaison to facilitate the selection process. The liaison should be a past winner, or someone familiar with the program.
Teachers can only be nominated for one category and only one teacher can be nominated from each school for any category. For a complete list of the 2019 Dwyer Award Categories, click here. For the guidelines for selecting nominees, click here.
