Students Kick Off School Year With All the Right Tools at RISE Back-to-School Bash

A group of local businesses came together to sponsor the RISE Back-to-school Bash on August 7 at FPL’s Manatee Lagoon in West Palm Beach. During the event, thousands of backpacks and school supplies were distributed to students.

RISE, a local 501(c)(3) organization, together with the Science Center, Palm Beach County Library System, and Florida Power & Light, were on hand to support the distribution to students who attend Northmore Elementary, Pleasant City Elementary, Roosevelt Elementary, Roosevelt Middle, and Palm Beach Lakes High. All told, the donated resources were valued at approximately $51,000.
