Courtney Roper - Crosspointe Elementary School
2023-2024 Business Partnership Coordinator of the Year

This year’s business partnership coordinator is a phenomenal teacher, family liaison, mentor for students, and an advocate for parents. Since 2016, this superstar employee has developed and retained nearly 30 business partners. Her principal says she has a “can-do attitude” that fosters the idea that the possibilities are endless. Dr. Annmarie Dilbert says the District’s 2024 Business Partnership Coordinator of the Year is a shining light and she’s delighted that she calls Crosspointe Elementary School “home.”

In 2014 Courtney Roper joined the Crosspointe Elementary School  Family as an ESE teacher, and life at the school has never been the same since.  She took on the challenge of serving as the Parent Liaison and Business Partnership Coordinator in 2016– making it her goal to engage as many parents, community leaders, and stakeholders as possible.  Crosspointe has approximately thirty business partners all because of Courtney’s passion for community support. She believes it takes a village to educate students and mold them into the great leaders of tomorrow.

Day after day, Courtney’s “can do” attitude creates an environment where possibilities are endless. Courtney treats relationships with every business partner as the prized resource they are. Whether they are sponsors of the school’s fence banner signs,  organizers of the annual holiday toy giveaway for students, or serving on the Crosspointe School Advisory Committee, business partners know that Courtney values their involvement and has a knack for connecting their skills and resources to needs of students, and staff, or to otherwise enhance the school. She works tirelessly with large and small businesses, community agencies, and community leaders to promote the school, recognize business partners, and generally make the world a better place for families and community members. Courtney’s cheerful disposition embodies

Crosspointe Elementary School’s motto “Kindness Matters” by spreading joy, love, and peace with the hope that the people she greets will pay it forward every day.

As the voice and face of Crosspointe, Courtney shines a light on the great events happening at the school every day and is known by families, staff, and community partners as “Miss Sunshine.”  Many of the school’s business partners, several of whom won the District’s Business Partner of the Year Awards in different categories, are motivated to go above and beyond because of Courtney's generous spirit. Some of the business partners have been part of the school family for many years.  This bubbly (but seriously committed) educator is a dedicated teacher who is involved in every aspect of the school, from being a phenomenal teacher and family liaison,  to a stellar business partnership coordinator for the Crosspointe Elementary School Community. And guess what–Courtney is the school’s Volunteer Coordinator as well!
