Florida Department of Education Commissioner's Business Recognition Awards Honorees

The winner of the District’s inaugural 2024 Business Partner Pacesetter Award is HCA Florida.

This award will be given to business partners that go above and beyond in each business partnership area: time, talent, AND resources. The winning business partner has proven themselves to be a benchmark against which other business partners are measured.

HCA Florida Healthcare has donated hours, dollars, and equipment, including three ultrasound machines to schools with Medical Choice programs; $20,000 to 11 schools for principals to use at their discretion for enhancement of student programs and staff development or other incentives, and a wide range of on-site and in-school career awareness and development opportunities provided by HCA Florida Healthcare staff.

They also sponsor the Thank a Teacher Program, which awards a different teacher every week of the school year with a 250-dollar check.
