“Dicky, thank you for sharing!!  This is true inspiration for me to make my agency’s Supplier Diversity Program  better!  (So, in a way, you are helping to create sustainable businesses within MY community too!, and thus, increasing  YOUR OUTREACH tremendously).

Thanks again for sharing your program, and providing goals for mine!”

The Office of Diversity in Business Practices will not rest on our laurels, we are dedicated to helping our diverse, small businesses, grow, learn and prosper. The School District, along with our partner, Kaufman Lynn, developed the course curriculum for our Small Business University; classes begin on May 2, 2019 and run through July 18, 2019. These courses have been developed for both Goods and Services and Construction Industry vendors.  For course curriculum, description and registration, please visit https://pbcsdsmallbusinessuniversity.eventbrite.com.   Like last year, we will have a Ready, Willing and Able Assessment Team evaluate where your business is at the end of the 10-week course, to determine where you may need assistance.

The 29.6 million small businesses in the United States create two out of three private sector jobs and employ 58 million people, they are the economic engine that run America’s economy.  The School District of Palm Beach County understands that it is to our collective benefit to help strengthen and grow the small businesses in our community.  These businesses hire local workers and students, contribute to the tax base and vibrant ecosystem of Palm Beach County.  Creating sustainable businesses within our community takes collaboration and a strategic approach.

Think Big, buy small!
