Student Internship Opportunities
The School District of Palm Beach County is pleased to provide several paid student internships, in various District departments, during the summer of 2018. Our internships provide students, 16 years of age and older, with the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a wide variety of fields. Intern work hours will vary by department.
Position descriptions, qualifications, application procedures, and worksite locations are provided below.
The deadline for applications is April 20, 2018. The selection process involves screening the applications and references and, for finalists, a job interview. All applicants will be notified of their selection status by May 1, 2018. Email is the preferred means of communication. **Don't forget to attach your resume to the application!

Student Internship Opportunities for Summer 2018
Accounting Services Internship: (3300 Forest Hill Blvd)
Open to High School and College Students. The Accounting Intern is responsible for assisting the Accounting Department staff in processing Journal Entries and Transactions in PeopleSoft – including working in Microsoft Excel and Word, as well as other office duties.
Communications Internship: (3300 Forest Hill Blvd.)
Open to High School and College Students. The Communications Intern is responsible for assisting the Communications department staff in the creation of materials – including, but not limited to, stories, graphics, videos and other collateral – for the School District website, intranet, newsletters and social media platforms.
Human Resources Internship: (3300 Forest Hill Blvd.)
Open to High School Students. The Human Resources intern is responsible for assisting the HR staff with the hiring of applicants and general office duties. The intern will assisting our front office so good Customer Services skills are required.
Open to High School Students in their junior or senior year. The Information Technology Division has several internship opportunities available. Interns in these positions will assist IT personnel in servicing equipment and maintaining software applications. They will participate in application development and system maintenance and troubleshooting. Basic knowledge of PCs is required.
Legal Services Internship: (3300 Forest Hill Blvd.)
Open to High School and College Students with preference given to pre-law coursework. The intern will serve in the Office of Chief Counsel assisting legal staff. Duties will include, but not be limited to, research and writing, photocopying, filing, and when appropriate observing various legal meetings and proceedings. Applicants should be individuals who are looking at a career in the legal field. Computer technology and research skills are required.
Purchasing Internship: (3300 Forest Hill Blvd.)
Open to High School and College Students. The Purchasing Intern is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Agents with commodity research, participation in bid openings, making reference calls for Purchasing Agents and assisting with processing award and renewal letters.
The Education Network (TV Production) Internship: (505 South Congress Avenue, Boynton Beach.)
Open to High School Students. The Television Production intern is responsible for assisting T.E.N. staff in creating television and multimedia content in a broadcast environment, from initial conception to final production. The intern will be involved in writing stories, videotaping, and editing content.
