C.O. Taylor/Kirklane Elementary School Mobilizes Community Support to Help One of Their Own

They first noticed it as a crackling sound within the walls of their home as they sat drinking their morning coffee in preparation for their day on Wednesday, December 8. In a matter of hours a raging inferno had blown through the home of C.O. Taylor/Kirklane Elementary School nurse Cindy Crouch and her husband. While the two managed to escape the fire along with their four dogs, they lost their car and most of their material possessions.

The school is asking for donations on behalf of the family and assistant principal Paul Sirota said he hopes the community will open their hearts and wallets. “Anyone who knows Nurse Cindy loves her and knows how caring she is to all the students and their parents,” he stated. “While we know she’s grateful that she and her husband are all right—that kind of loss is especially hard during the holidays,” he added.

Donations will be accepted at the school throughout the week of December 13 through 17. For more details, contact Mr. Sirota, 561-804-3508 or email Sirotap@palmbeach.k12.fl.us.
