Over 37,000 Volunteers and 1,120 Business Partners Support Students and Schools

Over 37,000 volunteers and 1,120 business partners donate their time and resources in public schools throughout Palm Beach County.  These dedicated volunteers and business partners help our students academically by supporting our teachers and schools.  The Office of Community Involvement will be holding a recognition event honoring the School District’s outstanding Volunteers and Business Partners, Wednesday, May 4 at 8:30 a.m.  600 volunteers, business partners and community members are expected to attend the breakfast being held at the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach. 

Schools winning the Golden and Silver School Awards will be honored along with the Palm Beach County Outstanding School Volunteer Award winners and the State and District Business Partnership Award winners.   This year’s School District Business Partner Hall of Fame inductee will also be announced.  Past winners have included Washington Mutual, Columbia Hospital, Nutrition S’Mart, Wachovia-A Wells Fargo Company, The Anne and Sam Klein Jewish Coalition for Literacy and The City of Delray Beach.

Sponsors for the event are Clear Channel Radio, Keiser University, Office Depot, Schoolhouse Consulting Group, Inc., and Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company.   Virginia Lang of “The Morning Show with Kevin, Jason & Virginia” of Wild 95.5 will be the emcee for the annual recognition breakfast.
