Student Reassignments Closed for First Semester

The Department of Choice and Career Options has completed the reassignment process and placements for the first semester of the 2011-2012 school year. A reassignment is a request for a student to attend a school other than the student’s assigned school.  Reassignments are considered and reviewed based on the standards set forth in School District Policy 5.015. 

The window to apply for reassignments for the second semester of this school year will open on October 1, 2011 and close October 31, 2011.  Parents are reminded that reassignments cannot be based on convenience nor can they be based on parental employment location. The District policy is strictly enforced.

The application period for the first semester of the next school year (2012-2013) will be from April 1, 2012 thru June 1, 2012. Parents will be reminded of these dates again at the beginning of 2012.
