Prevent Teen Pregnancy Day

Celebrating the 12th Annual Day to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, the students of Palm Beach Lakes High School are presenting a student-run Health Fair, Wednesday, May 2nd from 7:30 AM – 2:45 PM. In Palm Beach County there were 1,010 births to girls ages 15-19 in 2010.

Statistics show three in ten girls in the United States will get pregnant before the age of 20 and more than half of all the mothers on welfare had their first child as a teenager.  Amy Crease with Student Intervention Services says, “It’s important for students and parents to stay informed.  Come join students, school staff, local agencies that support student health and well being along with Reggie D from radio station 102.3 at Palm Beach Lakes High and “Stay Informed”.
